Manna Thai Restaurant on BumRes.com
The Manna is located within the gourmet food zone at the G floor of the classy Siam Paragon. I believe this restaurant has been around since Paragon's beginning of time. My girlfriend loves this restaurant so much. Whenever she had to host her foreign friends, she always took them here. And when she is hanging out at Paragon, she tend to be attracted to this place more than all other fine eats. There are two areas of seating for you to choose; indoor with A/C and outdoor with natural heat of Bangkok, where the expats love to sit. Atmosphere is elegant and luxurious like all other restaurants in this zone. Servers were dressed in uniform and they were service minded and kind. (despite the fact that my server was a trainee)
Majority of the food available at Manna is Thai, traditional and authentic. You won't find any dish with Chinese influence or Thai fusion at all. Average price is way too expensive; a single serving dish starts at 160 Baht and main dishes are at least 300++ Baht. I wonder if any of you are like me; when I find Thai restaurant with this price range, I would think that it is really pricey. But, I have no problem paying this price for Italian or French meals at all. It must be because I have seen many Thai dishes in the streets priced three times cheaper. I was at Manna with my mom and we ordered four dishes. About the food, please see photos with caption. Overall, the food at Manna is delicious to super delicious. Quality of the food is surely much better than most Thai restaurant you have been to. The only problem about this place is the price.
For four dishes at Manna Thai Restaurant, the bill came to 1,100 Baht with Vat and Service Charge. Since I used SCB credit card, the bill already had a 10% discount. 550 Baht per person for dinner at Siam Paragon is not that expensive, is it? Considering the quality of the ingredients, taste, atmosphere, and service; I guess the meal at Manna was worth the price I paid. Whenever you go to Siam Paragon and looking for a traditional and authentic Thai meal, check out the Manna and don't forget to share your experience with everyone.
