Polka Dot Cafe - European Restaurant on BumRes.com
Opened up in the midst of 2010 at the Aree Garden, the Polka Dot Cafe has been featuring the Polka dot design on all elements in the restaurant ever since. Being such a small restaurant, at first I though it was a bakery. With only about six tables, the atmosphere was rather cozy with the slow chilling music playing. The glass window opened up the confined space a little, with the view of the parking lot. Overall interior design and lighting of the Polka Dot Cafe was playful yet lovely.
As entering the shop, we were greeted by a young server with the mediocre face. She acted so professional that she didn't need to note on anything. Since I usually order lots of food everywhere, I am used to seeing the server noting down my orders. She quickly repeated the order back to me afterward and off she went.
Mainly the food served at Polka Dot Cafe were European - Italian, which were separated into five major categories; appetizer, pasta, main dish, and dessert. I was there with my mother and we ordered five dishes. Please take time to see my menu in the photos with caption. To my surprise, the food of this place was extremely delicious. Each one of them were beautifully presented and the high quality of the ingredients was shown through the food. So much goodness for such a small restaurant.

Our bill totaled to 1089 Baht after the 10% discount that made up for the 10% Service charge. For this price, it very a great bang for bucks for sure. Each dishes were large in portion; only three dishes could easily fill up nicely. In fact, I intend to give more points for the Polka Dot Cafe but throughout my experience, I felt that the service team lacked friendliness. When I was leaving the restaurant, there was about five staffs near the exit but none of them said thank you to us or even smile at us. I am not sure what was wrong with them. The Polka Dot Cafe served such amazing menus - with improvement on staff's social character, they would attract more customers back to enjoy the food.
Update: I went to the Polka Dot Cafe @ Aree Garden again. Their food was still as good as I remembered. And service staffs were ignoring customers just like the first time. If you only go there for the food and you can ignore about their servers, the Polka Dot Cafe would be a great spot to have a delicious dinner.
