Yuan Millennium Hilton Chinese Restaurant on BuMRes.com

Yuan is the official Chinese restaurant of the Millennium Hilton, a riverside five star hotel on the Chao Phraya River.  Tall spanning windows of the Yuan’s dining hall offer a pleasurable view of the river.  Even the tables further away from the window can get the view, being raised higher.  So, all the tables at Yuan are sure to get to enjoy the picturesque view equally.  Five star service of this hotel is not to be blamed one bit.  Before considering the food, Yuan gets full points for the service and the atmosphere without any doubts.

Yuan is serving the Dim Sum Buffet at lunch time daily.  Price per head is around 700 baht.  I believe at dinner time Yuan proudly presents their fine and authentic Chinese specialties in the set menu.  All in all, you can choose your favorites from the a la carte menu as usual.  As I document the menu of Yuan at Hilton, their menu has more to offer than all average Chinese restaurants.  Can it be considered the Contemporary Chinese Culinary style or Nouvelle Chinova? I am not sure.  On this visit I only had the Dim Sum.  I should go back there for the dinner to try their other attractive choices.

The review is on the Dim Sum Buffet at the Yuan @ Millennium Hilton Hotel.  Overall, the quality is high, prepared fresh and served hot in the classic bamboo baskets.  Deliciousness of each pick is about average.  I didn’t like any of them in particular and also no dislikes.  Remarkable point about the Dim Sum here must be the variety.  Compared to other Dim Sum Buffet, Yuan has many more choices.  Please see the photos and details in the tab menu.

My fine lunching experience at Yuan of Hilton was enjoyable but it wasn’t Dim Sum that I was so fond of.  In fact, it was their desserts.  Selection of desserts was no joke.  I ordered three choices; Mango pudding, Bua Loy Nam Khing (flour balls in ginger tea), and White soy pudding with fruit salad.  The appearance of these desserts was absolutely amazing; so high class.  All of them tasted awesome just like the look.

To conclude, Dim Sum Buffet at Yuan @ Millennium Hilton was definitely enjoyable.  With the view and the service, Yuan’s variety of Dim Sum was much more pleasing than it actually was.  I would suggest this fine Chinese restaurant for hosting guests for business at both lunch and dinner time.  Located on Charoen Nakorn road, travelling by car is the most convenient mode.
