IATA-PATA Chinese Restaurant on BumRes.com

The Iata Pata is Chinese restaurant that my mother's friend was once a co-owner at an original branch, Siam Square about ten years ago.  I believe the name was only Pata.  That first location closed down and combined with Iata and turned into Iata-Pata (my assumption).  currently the restaurant is on the Petchaburi road between Thonglor and Prompong.  This is a large restaurant with three stories and own parking lot.

The menu of Iata-Pata is small compared to the size of the restaurant.  I believe there are about 50 items to choose from.  But, I overheard a table next to me asking for a dish that wasn't in the menu and the restaurant is willing to do it for the customers.  On my visit, I only ordered from the menu.  Average price is similar to gourmet Chinese restaurant in town; between 300 - 400 Baht for most selections.  For a Premium Chinese specialties like Abalone or Pig's skin,it would cost more.

Many dishes here are served on hot pans.  Four out of five dishes came on the sizzling hot pans.  Regarding the taste of each menu, please see the photos and the caption.

The bill totaled to 2,077 Baht.  Iata-Pata had service charge but no Vat.  In term of value, I think it is expensive for what we received.  Overall deliciousness of all dishes was just average.  Customer service was also standard.  Location of the Iata-Pata is convenient and parking is free and easy.  Be noted that this restaurant is open for lunch only on Sunday and all other days only open for dinner.
